Conceived in 1920 by the poet and painter and supported by Léonce Rosenberg, the publishing project was interrupted by the inaction of the art dealer and then by the disappearance of Juan Gris in 1927. Tériade was finally in charge of the complete manuscript. , 20 poems illustrated with 11 color lithographs that reproduce as faithfully as possible the original compositions of the cubist painter.
