Josep Guinovart i Bertran. We have original graphic works (prints), engravings, lithographs and serigraphs (engravings, et chings, lithographs, serigraphs) by this artist. (Barcelona 1927-2007) was a painter, draftsman and printmaker from Catalonia, Spain. Upon his return to Barcelona and after a season working on illustrations and set decorations, around 1957 he began a shift towards abstract art, his unconventional work, he uses three-dimensional elements almost constantly in his works, most of them also large format. After studying at the Llotja school and at the Promotion of Decorative Arts in Barcelona, he won a scholarship in 1953 from the French Institute to take a five-month trip to Paris. In 1994, a Museum was inaugurated in Agramunt dedicated to his work, the town where his mother was born and where he has always been linked. He died on December 12, 2007, at the age of 80, having not been able to overcome a heart attack suffered a few days earlier.
