Ferran García Sevilla (Palma de Mallorca, 1949) is a Spanish artist. Initially linked to art theory and criticism, he has been a professor of Fine Arts at various universities. He exhibited for the first time in 1972. Begun in conceptual art (installation Patrius, Patria, Patrium, 1976), he ended up in painting and graphics, framed in the so-called postmodern art. He tends to arrange well-defined figures - often anthropomorphic - on neutral backgrounds or with insistently repeated motifs. It uses rich, lively and contrasted color ranges, with a simple language that is sometimes close to primitive art.
