Alfonso Albacete

Alfonso Albacete Antequera (Málaga, Spain), 1950) is a Spanish painter and printmaker. Albacete's painting focuses above all on a vital and open chromaticism influenced by American abstraction and pop art. His work is located on the hinge where figuration and abstraction are integrated. He trained pictorially with Juan Bonafé, later initiating his studies of Fine Arts and Architecture in Valencia and Madrid. His work from the early nineties opens to an iconography that is constant throughout the pictorial passage of his production: the human figure, still life and landscape, although in the nineties he has been open to more abstract approaches.
