During the month of September 2005, the artists Manolo Belzunce and Angel Haro traveled to the Mauritanian city of Chinguetti, in the middle of the Sahara desert, to make a mural in the hospital of the same name. From those days faced with a reality as harsh as it was moving, a series of pieces on paper emerged, under the saving shadow of the oases, that collects with expressive bravery a crucial experience in the later work of both artists.
