Exhibition 2011: "Sewn In Memory"
JANUARY 20, 2011. SEWED IN MEMORY Most of the characters that appear in this combination of photographs with paraffin and embroidered thread are arranged in a recollection position. According to Baena, with this position "what is necessary is to try to find oneself, seek silence, be in contact with nature, establish a link with spaces and with what is essential: with what we are and what we need. It is about putting things aside, to dispense with the superfluous. My works tend to the minimum, to the minimum of ornaments, colors and elements. We must protect ourselves from all those voices that want to convince us of things that are not fair, neither for us nor for the rest of the world. humanity".
